Staple cartridges are especially designed to reduce the chance of staples jamming. Skin staple after closure is 6.65mm wide x 4.65mm high, a better length for thicker animal skin versus thin human skin. The 20 staples provided per staple cartridge are sufficient for a 100- 125mmm incision.
