Kaptan Powder

Kaptan Powder is a wettable fungicidal powder. It is of value as a treatment for ringworm in animals.

 

COMPOSITION
Each gram contains Captab (N-trichloromethyl-mercapto-4-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboximide) 500mg in a wettable powder base. Captab is a relatively non-toxic fungicide (LD50 orally in rats 9000 mg/kg) and can be used safely in animals.

• Dogs, Horses, Cattle – a 4% mixture (2% active) in water is recommended: Mix 40g Kaptan Powder into I litre of water and dip or paint affected spots three times a week or daily if possible, until lesions disappear.
• Cats – Mix 20 g Kaptan Powder into I litre of water and dip or paint affected spots three times a week or daily if possible, until lesions disappear. Captab is a relatively non-toxic fungicide (LD50 orally in rats 9000 mg/kg) and can be used safely in animals.
