Sterile Swabs with Transport Medium (Kyron)

The transparent plastic tube which is labelled and stoppered contains approximately 5ml transport medium (Amies Medium [Kyron AM] or Amies Charcoal Medium [Kyron ACM]). Charcoal neutralizes the bacterial toxins and inhibitory substances. The swabstick together with the tube is sealed in a filmpaper pouch and is sterilised by gamma radiation.
